Privacy Notice

How Tideline handles your information

Last updated: [date]. This is a prototype draft. Before launch, this notice should be reviewed by a privacy lawyer familiar with Singapore's PDPA and India's DPDP Act.

In plain English: we only collect what we need to build your tax plan and send it to you. We don't sell your data, we don't ask for your banking passwords, and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.

1. Who we are

Tideline ("we", "us", "our") is the operator of this website and the relocation tax planning tool. We are the data controller (Singapore PDPA) and data fiduciary (India DPDP Act) for the personal data described below. To contact us about your data, email privacy@tideline.in.

2. What we collect, and why

3. The legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. For payment processing and basic record-keeping after purchase, we may also rely on the legitimate interest of running our service and our legal obligations (for example, tax record retention).

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum needed, with these categories of recipient:

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Where your data lives

Our service uses providers that may store data outside Singapore and India. When data moves across borders, we rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards. If you would like the specific list of providers and their locations, email us.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your plan inputs and contact details for as long as you remain a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping (typically up to seven years for tax-related records). You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see section 8.

7. How we protect it

We use HTTPS in transit, access controls on our systems, and rely on established providers for storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps consistent with our scale and the sensitivity of the data.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you have rights under Singapore's PDPA and India's DPDP Act including:
